So,
brightknightie posted that 13 people have joined the fest, which is a good thing. Last year, there were only 9 people... which made me feel kinda sad, really (as I was wondering if folks were losing interest). But, on the bright side, there were also 13 people each in the 2012 and 2013 games. The first two games had 19 (for 2011) and 21 (for the comm's debut in 2010), the largest groups in the fest's history so far.
Having 13 people this year is smack-dab in the middle of the total sign-up counts, and gives me hope that we'll get more people next year, too (well, if
brightknightie wants a game in 2016... but that's probably thinking too far ahead on my part).
Whatever the case, I'm so looking forward to the 13 new fics we'll have this year (including mine, as I never know what the story will be till I get matched, which is really a game-changer in terms of my writing). I don't always comment on the fics (because I seriously suck at feedback), but I do read everything.
But most importantly, an epic shout-out goes to Our Fearless Moderator,
brightknightie. She works her ass off every year to make these games awesome and fun, and she's currently hard at work to make sure everybody gets a good match. She deserves all the love and virtual baked goods in the world.

Fingers crossed and knock wood that as many of the matches as possible will delight their recipients, and that only those rare bold souls who volunteered for hard-to-match slates received that sort of challenge...
